The programme, introduced in 2021 to tackle the shortage of qualified teachers, currently engages graduates across public secondary schools in all 27 local government areas of the state. State Commissioner of Information, Sagir Musa, who announced the decision after Wednesday’s Executive Council meeting chaired by Governor Umar Namadi, said the increment was to motivate teachers during these tough economic times.
